Part of my problem is that there are so many products around for the treatment of hemorrhoid problems, from lotions, to creams, to drops to tablets, and even suppositories which help to ease the bowels. Creams which contain painkillers are very popular, because they help to control both the pain and the itching, and some even contain steroids which are aimed at helping soothe the itchiness. Only problem with those is the long term side effects they can cause like thinning of the skin. It can be hard to choose which treatment is best for you.
